Downeast Salmon Federation was pleased to accept the gift of a half acre camp lot on Orange Lake from the Pike family in June of 2021.
This lakeside gem will offer the only public access point on Orange Lake and will serve as a lovely picnic and 'put-in' site for idyllic days on the lake
We welcome the public to the DSF Land Trust properties and ask that you review the Hunting & Wildlife Viewing Equipment Policy in advance of your visit. All properties are 'carry-in, carry-out'. You must have a permit to have a campfire on the properties.
State law requires fire permits for all open fires (including in campsite fire rings). Campfires may be banned during dry periods. Contact the Maine Forest Service for a permit at (207) 827-1800.
DIRECTIONS:
Take Rt 1 north from Machias 13.4 miles. Turn Left on Orange Lake Rd. and left again on Cardinal Rd. The property is nearly at the end of Cardinal Rd.
