Addison Marsh Preserve
Description and Access
The small (0.27 acre) Addison Marsh Preserve is located in the tidal marsh along the Pleasant River on the Ridge Road in Addison, Maine. Prior to DSF ownership, there was a homestead that was built on raised gravel fill and several feet higher than the surrounding salt marsh. Visitors will see a DSF preserve sign near the road and a few spaces for vehicles to park. This preserve is a great location to observe waterfowl and other marsh life. There are no amenities or facilities at this location, and visitors should follow the “Pack-it-in, Pack-it-out” policy when visiting this preserve.
