Dennys River Sportsman’s Club (Pavilion)

Description and Access

Welcome to DSF’s Dennys River Sportsman’s Club! In 2024, DSF rehabilitated a historic clubhouse that is now a picnic pavilion with a concrete floor and a stone masonry hearth fireplace and metal roof.

The pavilion overlooks the Dennys River and is connected by gravel road and trail to the rest of the preserve for recreational activities such as hiking, picnicking, birdwatching, fishing and hunting. The pavilion is open to casual picnics and activities, but is also available by prior arrangement and donation for scheduled events, weddings, reunions, retreats and meetings through our office.  Please fill out the reservation request form with the details of your event, and we will get back to you soon.

The Dennys River Sportsman’s Club and Preserve has an outhouse at this location and no other amenities, and visitors should follow the “Pack-it-in, Pack-it-out” policy when visiting this preserve. Please visit the Dennys River Preserve page for more information about the surrounding conservation preserve.  While fires are permitted within the stone hearth, users must bring their own locally obtained firewood.  Pavilion users are responsible for supervising the fireplace operation and for fully dowsing or extinguishing the fire before leaving.  BBQ grills are allowed outside the pavilion, but no fires are permitted elsewhere on the preserve.
