Great Falls Preserve
Description and Access
The 59-acre Great Falls Preserve is located on both sides of the Narraguagus River on the west side of Route 193 in Deblois, Maine.
The popular preserve features an intact forest and nearly 4000’ feet of river frontage with rapids, cascading waterfalls and pools. On the river’s eastern side, a mile of hiking trails intersects with an ATV trail running through the preserve, and together they form a loop around a glacial formation known as the Kettle Hole.

This side of the preserve also features a kiosk, a primitive campsite with a picnic table, fire ring and outhouse. The ATV trail continues across to the river’s western side, and this side of the preserve has a riverside picnic table and is also home to DSF’s maintenance garage.
