Narraguagus Marsh Preserve
Description and Access
The 11-acre Narraguagus Marsh Preserve is located on the Narraguagus River, and includes estuarine wetlands with forested uplands located in Milbridge, Maine. To remedy historical alterations made to the marsh for farming (ditches and berms), DSF is in the process of planning a salt marsh restoration project.
The preserve can be accessed from US Route 1 in Milbridge by turning onto Kansas Road and driving for about 450 feet. This unmarked property will be on your left with 685 feet of frontage along the roadway. There are no amenities or facilities available at this property, and visitors should practice the “Pack-it-in, Pack-it-out” policy when visiting this preserve.
