Schoodic Brook Preserve
Description and Access
The 39-acre Schoodic Brook Preserve is located in Cherryfield, Maine and offers nearly 800 feet of frontage on the Narraguagus River. There is a preserve sign at the entrance and a short river access trail leading from the parking area.

The Narraguagus River at Schoodic Brook Preserve
This preserve can be accessed from Deblois, Maine by turning onto Lane Road at the Deblois town office and fire station. Proceed on Lane Road for 1.2 miles and continue following Lane Road as it turns left and becomes a dirt road leading into the blueberry barrens. Follow Lane Road south for about 6.3 miles through the barrens and continue as it leads you into the forest, past Sharon Lane and onward to Salmon Run Lane. Turn left on Salmon Run Lane and continue for 1 mile, and then bear left and proceed 500 feet and turn right at the entrance marked with a DSF preserve sign. Proceed down the access drive for approximately 0.2 mile to reach the parking area and trailhead. There are no amenities or facilities available at this property, and visitors should practice the “Pack-it-in, Pack-it-out” policy when visiting this preserve.
