Boar’s Nest Camp

Our Boar’s Nest Camp is located on the West Branch of the Narraguagus River in Cherryfield, Maine. This camp is accessible by water only, and visitors can launch a canoe or kayak from Spragues Falls Preserve located at the northern end of Spragues Falls Road, which is located about 3 miles west of Cherryfield off of Route 182 (Blacks Woods Road). Depending on the river’s level, the paddle is usually less than an hour upstream.

The camp consists of a rustic, 1930s cabin with 4 bunks, a woodstove, a fire ring, an outhouse and a barrel spring (non-potable) located on the riverbank just upstream from the cabin. Campers should bring their own water (or a water purifier) as well as any other supplies needed, and visitors should follow the “Pack-It-In, Pack-It-Out” policy while visiting this preserve.
