North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization
Downeast Salmon Federation is an accredited NGO with the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization (NASCO), with observer status.

NASCO works with six governments across the world as well as the European Union with the goal to "conserve, restore, enhance, and rationally manage Atlantic salmon through international co-operation taking account of the best available scientific information."

The work that DSF does aligns well with the overall mission of NASCO and we are thankful to be recognized with their accreditation.
Land Trust Accreditation Commission
Downeast Salmon Federation became an accredited land trust through the Land Trust Accreditation Commission in 2023.

The Land Trust Accreditation Commission is an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, with the intent to "operate an innovative program to build and recognize strong land trusts, foster public confidence in land conservation, and help ensure the long-term protection of land".

By becoming accredited through the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, DSF shows that our land trust program meets national quality standards for permanently protecting important natural spaces and working lands, which proves our sound finances, ethical conduct, responsible governance, and lasting stewardship.
